Assistant or Associate Professor of Education in Literacy Education

Doane University is seeking a collaborative and innovative individual at the Assistant or Associate level to serve as a faculty member in Elementary Education in the content area of Reading/Literacy. A Ph.D. or Ed.D. is required. The individual will also have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the K-12 schools and it is preferable to have had higher education experience. The individual will provide the leadership, management, and oversight for the identification, development, and support of high-quality literacy programs. The individual will teach courses in the Curriculum and Instruction Program, the Reading Specialist Endorsement Program, and the Undergraduate Program. This includes coordinating curriculum for the undergraduate and graduate programs and program assessment.

Position Requirements
An earned doctorate with a record of achievement consistent with an appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the College of Education.
Knowledge of CAEP requirements and overall assessment
Minimum of 5 years of teaching or administrative experience in PK-12 schools.
Strong interpersonal and collaborative communication skills
Entrepreneurial spirit for maximizing capacity in existing programs and creating new academic opportunities
Successful record of coordinating course development and instruction, curriculum planning and assessment.
Ability to set goals, prioritize and plan work activities, and meet deadlines
Ability to be an articulate spokesperson for Doane on a local, state and national level
Knowledge of state process for Teacher Education.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
