HR Assistant Manager

Our factory in Crete, NE is one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U. S. as a mass producer of over one thousand tons of pet food per day, including brands like Alpo , Nestl Purina ONE , Pro Plan , Friskies and Nestl Purina Veterinary Diets brands. With the city of Lincoln just 25 miles from the factory, many of our associates find convenience in larger-city living in Lincoln and embrace the short commute to the quainter city of Crete.
As the Assistant HR Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Human Resources Manager with the planning, administering and implementing policies and programs relative to recruiting, hiring and employment, training and development, personnel management, compensation and benefits, labor relations, and overall development of human resources. You will assist the HR Manager with other various HR functions and special projects. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Advise and counsel on company rules, collective bargaining agreement, policies and procedures, Advise and counsel on company rules, collective bargaining agreement, policies and procedures, corrective actions and grievance procedure to help maintain consistency throughout the facility.
  • Facilitate, advise and counsel in legal compliance issues, including OFCCP, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA and unemployment
  • Assists the HR Manager in the grievance procedure, attendance program administration and any disciplinary issues.
  • Maintains files containing all information necessary for the accurate completion of quarterly and annual
  • Supports the HR Manager in the development of the HR Strategy and doing KPIs to identify trends and action plans
  • Assume all other duties as assigned by Manager
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or similar field.
  • Master Degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources Management or MBA preferred
  • A minimum of 3+ years experience in Human Resources required
  • Ability to relocate required
  • Experience working in a Union Environment preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Kronos or SAP preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
