The Registered Nurse serves as a member of the Health and Wellness team and is responsible for promoting healthy choices and experiences for all students.
In this role you will provide basic holistic health care to students, referring them to advanced care as needed and assist with the development of health and wellness goals.
Diversity, equity and inclusion are mission-imperative areas in the Doane community, and the director should be a leader in promoting an inclusive and equitable environment.
Co-curricular programs must model an environment that supports students of all identities, worldviews, and backgrounds, while actively identifying and eliminating systemic barriers that have created disparities in outcomes for underrepresented students.
Required Education/ Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Nursing 1 - 3 years of nursing experience Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license Active CPR certification Knowledge of HIPAA and FERPA regulations Demonstrated commitment to and support of diversity, equity and inclusion.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with a diverse population of constituents, including but not limited to, students, faculty, staff and community partners.
Self-starter and change-oriented.
Must be able to work effectively with high-energy college students.
Preferred Education/ Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
More than 3 years of experience in Student Affairs or working with students within a college or university setting.
Active, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license Working knowledge of physical and mental health issues in the college student population.
Membership and involvement in related professional associations (ACHA, Nebraska Nurses Association, Central College Health Association) Experience with the development and implementation of assessment strategies to measure program effectiveness.
Technology savvy, including leveraging branding and social media marketing strategies relevant to student health in the digital marketplace.
Priority consideration will be given to applications received by Friday, March 10, 2023.
This position has a preferred start date of May 2023.
